PT 30:00 [1]

Back to PT. My left knee and hip had not been feeling so great, so I went to the doctor. He said my knee and hip weren't so bad, but he felt I should have more mobility in both of them. So PT it is.

Note

Some not so great news. Don had a run in with his truck. He thought it was in Park, but it was in Reverse. He got knocked down by the car door and was run over on his chest. He was airlifted to Fairfax Hospital and is in trauma ICU for a few features with 10 broken ribs. The docs say he'll be fine, but there's a long road ahead of him. My heart is broken. I think I'll be heading to WV next week after he gets home to help out. We'll see.

Running (C25K) 37:27 intensity: (21:27 @3) + (16:00 @4)

Week 4 #2

I was not feeling this at all...had a bit of GI distress the entire time. I made it home just in the nick of time.

Other than that, it was fine. Temps in the upper 40s; the trail was still a mess but the road was completely clear, so no wipe outs today.

Skiing, X-C race 2:08:00 [4]

Ski-O at Eldora.

I had a great time today. Not a speedy outing by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a beautiful day and I had so much fun out there.

I've decided that my cross-country skiing is like my swimming. It feels like I'm moving ahead just fine, but when compared to others, I see that I am woefully slow. But it doesn't feel like it's so slow. Oh, well. I love doing both activities and that's what counts.

Cycling (Trainer) 45:00 [3]

I went to my new gym to ride the bike for a while. This is really turning out to be a good gym. It has everything I want and nothing more, so I don't feel like I'm paying for a bunch of extras that I don't use.

Week 4 #1

Continuing on my protracted training plan. It snowed all day, so I stuck to the road in Wash Park. It was a mix of packed down snow, icy patches, and wet pavement...a little dangerous. I only fell once, but my extensive falling training prevented me from getting hurt.
