Orienteering 1:39:22 [3] 8.74 km (11:22 / km) +183m 10:18 / km

Pohick Bay/Meadowood. Green @ 4.6 km.

I knew this would be my only O-meet this month, so I decided to do Green. Plus, 4.6k -- how hard could that be? Ha!

My navigation was, once again, not so great. Mostly small bobbles that kept each leg from being perfect. There was one major parallel error, though, going to #7. I'm not sure why I was finding the trails so confusing because they were pretty straight forward. For some inexplicable reason, I stopped short and headed up one stream too soon. I realized it as soon as I got far enough up the stream/reentrant to see a building and a field up on the ridge.

Today's silver lining was that I did a good job of running on the trails. I think my running outings are helping.

Also, not sure how I turned 4.6kl into 8.7k. I didn't think I ran *that* far off of the direct routes.

Running 33:05 [3] 2.49 mi (13:17 / mi) +24m 12:54 / mi

Another run where I didn't feel tip-top. Today, though, it was my arms that felt so tired. The Peloton ride last night had an arm section with weights, so maybe that tired them out. I had a quick case of the dry heaves when I ended, so I guess I gave it my all.

Peloton 45:00 [3] 13.01 mi (3:28 / mi)

Another crazy week, mainly because my beloved boss is leaving NPR. :-( She's going to be the COO at WWF. She really has been the best boss I have ever had, so it makes me especially sad. I'm not 100% sure what's going to happen to me, but she assured me that I'll be fine. I have a feeling I'll be moved over to the new CEO to help him out. I wouldn't mind that...he's a nice guy.

Running 34:03 [3] 2.61 mi (13:03 / mi) +34m 12:32 / mi

I did not feel great today, so I'm just glad I got this done. And a little speedier, which is always a nice thing.
