I had every intention of running yesterday, the forecasted nicer of the two weekend days. But I found myself getting more and more depressed about what's happening in this world, both on a personal and community level. So I stayed home and tuned out. It seemed to have helped. I woke up today a little more ready to face the day, and went out for a run in the rain. It was delightful.

This was an exploratory run to see how my back felt. I hurt it yesterday morning when I coughed as I was stretching my arms over my head. I pulled the muscles on either side of my spine. So silly. But I felt just fine.

There were a lot of folks out on the trail. I wonder if people are already getting tired of self-containing.

NPR sent everyone home as of yesterday. We are to work from home through the end of the month. At first I thought everyone was over-reacting to the coronavirus, but after the past few days, I'm starting to get a little scared. I will definitely be self-containing as much as possible.
