Hiking 1:48:44 [3] 4.78 mi (22:45 / mi) +499m 17:10 / mi

Another hike in Lory State Park. This time I went up Arthur's Rock trail and down on Howard Trail. I passed on a side-trip to the summit because there's a little bit of boulder climbing to get there and coming down was a little iffy. I'm trying to avoid overburdening our medical system by not hurting myself.

Howard trail was actually nicer than Arthur's Rock trail, in my opinion. It had more opportunities for amazing views and it went through more open meadows. It is a multi-use trail, though, with horses and mt. bikes. I didn't see any horses, but did see a handful of mt. bikers, which surprised me because the middle of this trail is quite steep with many, very rocky switchbacks. But they were riding up and down, seemingly without a worry. I thought of Brooke and what she would do.

Hiking 42:00 [2] 1.5 mi (28:00 / mi)

I went down to Denver this morning, to my old stomping ground of Wash Park. I met my friend, Marnie, and we took a lap around the park. It was so nice to see her again and to catch up. She's so happy I'm back in Colorado.

Running 28:03 [3] 2.05 mi (13:43 / mi) +1m 13:41 / mi

I started in a new place on the river trail to try to avoid the worst of the crowds around Lee Martinez Park. It was still a little crowded because it was a beautiful day. The temps were in the high 40s, but with the sunshine, I was definitely overdressed in a long-sleeved top.

Hiking 1:00:00 [2] 2.6 mi (23:05 / mi)

I brought my car in for some maintenance work, so I walked back to downtown and then to the library to pick up a book that I had on hold. And then back again.

Hiking 35:10 [2] 1.54 mi (22:50 / mi)

I pulled my hamstring the other day, so I just took a hike today to the post office and then around town a bit.

Today, NPR's Board of Directors approved the 3-year strategic plan that another woman and I have been working on for almost a year. There was never any doubt that it would be approved, but it was still nice to see the show of hands. This was one of the biggest projects I've worked on for awhile, and it felt really good to lead something that is so important to the organization. Now we are working on aligning all of the upcoming projects to the plan. That's going to be a bit of work, as well.

The movers arrived today and loaded everything into a 10x20 storage unit. There was room to spare. I guess I was successful in downsizing. Now I just need to find a house.
