My back is finally feeling better, so I went out for a morning hike. I headed down to the river trail, which was quite a bit emptier than normal. On my way back, there was a lot more traffic...just 30 minutes later.

I also earned the Re-run Badge for this. There are several pieces of furniture that aren't going to fit in my new house, so I donated them to a local consignment shop that raises money for a local charity that supports cancer patients and their families.

Well, it's been a busy few days. I closed on my house last Wednesday, moved my stuff in on Thursday, and saw Caitlin off on Friday. Then I hunkered down to get as many boxes unpacked as possible. Happily, I have reduced the pile by about 2/3, with a few trips to the recycling center to get rid of flattened boxes, paper, and miscellaneous stuff I realized that I no longer need.

Unhappily, I've wrecked my back in all of this unpacking, moving, lifting, etc. I've been taking ibuprofen, stretching it, rolling it, heating it, whatever I can do to make it feel better. I thought a little walk this morning would help, but instead, I think it made it worse.

I wanted to explore City Park and Grandview Cemetery, but only made it through the park before I started stumbling because my back kept giving out. So I headed home, sadly.

Am I in NYC??
