| Slow paddle on Calhoun, Isles, Cedar, Brownie. Saw 2 blue herons, a shorebird I have still to identify (green heron?), a muskrat, dozens of turtles, a large bat, and a pair of wood ducks. |

| Wild 12 hr Spring race. Started by copying down 5 CPs up on Soren's Bluff, ran up the entrance road and got them. A bit slow to get started and sloppy on the first couple, but managed to get a rhythm towards the end. Came back to paddle TA around 8th place.

| Entered the water at Colvill Park and paddled the orange boats down the Mississippi into Lake Pepin and around to the other side of Old Frontenac. Made decent time and extended the gap on some teams, even though my boat started to leak from the right side and took on some water. There was also a strong east wind that whipped up 2 foot waves in some places, but the boats rode over them nicely. |

| Trekking into Frontenac SP. A river/swamp crossing over to the prairie area S of Co 2, then up and over the big bluffs. Looped back to the same TA. |

| Nice long bike with several "minimum maintenance" roads (including one with a full mile uphill) and a tremendous number of hills. Made a mistake on Grosse Pointe road and had to go up it once and down twice. |

| Climbed up the back side of Soren's Bluff and got the CPs on the MTB trail. Then a screaming downhill back to the finish. Ended up in 2nd place, 12:21, with all but two CPs. WEDALI won and was the only team to finish all CPs, and they took just under 12:00 to do it. Funr ace and definitely the most difficult Dan has put on to date. |
