Wednesday Jul 18

MTB (technical) 2:50:00 [3] 23.8 mi (7:08 / mi) +400m 4:13 / km
Before lunch ride to Yellow Jacket, Goat Dance, and Upper Hermosa, Select Cut to Snodgrass. After lunch ride back up Levis and down Cliffhanger (terrible!), then over to Dead Turkey, Yellow Jacket and on to the new "Sidewinder" trail. Really gnarly. There are some areas that are only about a foot wide, sandy, with rocks, at the top edge of 4-8 foot cliffs. Then it switchbacks around above the section you just biked. Plus a rickety 12 ft bridge crossing between two cliffs. Really great views from the top, but definitely not a trail for beginners.

Dave lost his chain on the way back and we bailed out on the ski trails.

TNT - Wirth
MTB (technical) 55:00 [3] 6.5 mi (8:26 / mi) +200m 4:48 / km
Took some time off work for a Levis trip with Chuck and Dave. Arrived around 6 PM and biked up Northface, along top of Levis, and down Cliffhanger, then Switchback to Toad Road and back down Cliffhanger.
Terrain Run (no map) 30:00 [2] 1.5 mi (20:00 / mi) +80m 10:40 / km
Saw lightning to the south around 11 PM and ran up to the top of Levis Mound to get a better view and check the chance of rain.
