Orienteering race 2:06:36 [4] *** 13.2 km (9:35 / km) +300m 8:37 / km

Minnegoat at MLK, no skips. Peeled off the field at #2 and kept up with Justin until #5, then nothing but me and the woods. I like navigating at this park, and didn't make many mistakes major or minor. Tired and slowed down about halfway through, had to manage on about a dozen gummi Life Savers which were just enough to keep me steady. Ended up well under 10 min/k and only 10 min behind Justin, which was a bit of a pleasant surprise.

Middle distance Green. Slow/missed on a few controls, just getting used to running in terrain again.

Orienteering race 56:32 [3] **

Ran the Night-O with Julie, picked off 8/11 controls. She navigated on the trails, and I took over when we had to cut across in terrain. Near the end we met Trey, who had dropped his map in the forest, but managed to make his way to a trail. We teamed up and got the last two controls together, meeting up with Julia for the last one and a run down the road to the finish. Julie was a solid runner through the whole course, and afterwards gave credit to those "Orange Theory" workouts for the stamina.
