Things you shouldn't do:
1) Run an ultra when you are injured= worked out fine. Hip only talked to me on the hills. On the last two laps I walked anything with a slight incline.
2) Wear a brand new pair of shoes= Wasn't a factor until it started to rain. I had no clue what their limits were on muddy trails. Almost fell multiple times.

Horrible last split was a combination of factors.
1) I have not been able to train enough. Finding flat places to run is boring and I definitely need to get in more hours.
2) I trails turned into little streams. There were enough runners left on the course that even the mowed sections got chewed up.
