Run(trail) race 48:46 [2] 5.15 mi (9:28 / mi) +61m 9:08 / mi

Dirt Cheap race #4. Webster Park. I jogged the first 3.5 miles then picked it up at the end. Racing like that feels so different.

Not sure why they didn't run seated heats again. Men started at 6:30, women are 6:35. The fast women had to pass a lot of men on some pretty tight single track.

Met up with Trail Runners of Midcoast Maine. They seem to do something almost everyday. If you are in the Belfast/Camden/Rockland area look them up on facebook. TROMM

Camden Snow Bowl. We ran the front side of Ragged Mountain. All single track and technical. The group of 13 quickly broke into 3 selections. Sparks and I chose the middle group of 5 runners. We kept to a talking pace except for some of the steeper sections.

Trekking 1:56:12 [3] 6.4 mi (18:09 / mi) +142m 16:59 / mi

Decided to check out Hidden Valley Nature Center which is hosting Maine Summer Adventure Race.

We are doing the CNYO rogaine that weekend but wanted check it out since it is close to our house.

Most of the trails are 10 foot wide ski trails and form a maze that wraps through out the area.

We were covered with bugs and ticks. These were brown ticks and easy to spot so we did regular stops to throw them off.

The staff there was pleasant and stopped working to talk to us.

Trekking 3:19:46 [2] 8.96 mi (22:18 / mi) +512m 18:56 / mi

Camden Hills state park with Cody, Max, and Sparkles. Cameron and Megunticook Mountains.

Most of this was on very easy ski trails, only the summit of Megunticook was technical.

All of this was runnable if we didn't have the dogs.
