running intervals 50:59 [3] 7.8 km (6:32 / km)

3 x 8min at aerobic intensity with 3min rest between each one. Didn't have a heart rate monitor nor anyone to run with so I have no idea how my speed compared to how I was feeling. Tried to keep it at a sustainable speed but still tough enough to feel like I was working. Hills were tough but a good type of tough :) Tried out a gel during the second interval since it's been since last WOC that I've had one. Peanut butter Gu tastes like Oh Henry bars!!!!!! :)
Right hamstring was none to happy by the end but otherwise the knee was great! Hopefully getting back into the woods will go just as well!

vélo 25:01 [1] 5.0 km (5:00 / km)

Biked up, up, up to where the trails started but with a crazy head wind and on my super old super heavy road bike... almost harder than the actual workout!

running 48:30 [2]

First time checking out the trails but I still avoided the super steep parts. The knee is still a bit twingy on downhills but otherwise it was feeling just great! All my other muscles, however, and quite sore! Especially my right quad and the top of my calves. I prefer muscular soreness than knee tendon soreness!! :)

core 30:00 [3]

gotta love those planks! followed by 20min of the usual core exercises.

running 36:09 [2]

More pain-free running!!! Less painful running downhill and was able to half the park running slightly near to interval pace and the other half in recovery. Still cautious about going into any uneven terrain... maybe this weekend! Off anti-inflammatories today but everything seems to be okay! :)

running 30:00 [1]

After bonking my knee quite properly at Jukola I've finally, tentatively, started running again. Not entirely sure how I'm going to go about these next 10 days of training but I've decided to log again so that future-me and see how I handled the training and what the results were.

core 24:00 [3]

10min of planks, arm/shoulder exercises and lots of push-ups!
