COC Long at Eb's Trails. The worst race I have ever run, made many mistakes, +35, no clouds and a lack of water (no water on last 10 controls) gave me heat stroke. I was feeling so bad that I had to walk at times and walked all the last 10 controls. I was feeling like shit, disorientated, heavy breathing just walking, light headed and had to sit/lay down at least 5 times on the course. At control 18 I decided that I was going to finish the course no matter what, nothing was going to stop me...even a GOUGER with water!

COC Middle, Ebs Trails, north of Saskatoon. Was happy with my race, make a 0:15 mistake between #2 and #3 wen I went south out of the control instead of north, 0:45 on #9, 1:00 on #10 and 5:00 on #13 (a control many people had problems with). Placed 7/24.

Wellington Cr., Park Blvd. N., Corydon Ave., along the west side of Tuxedo Gulf Course, Grant Ave., Chalfort Rd., Cathcart St., along the Harte Trail (Trans Canada Trail) to . and back. Picked some more saskatoon berries along the trail.

Running Room 20 Minute Challenge. From the Kenaston Village Running Room along Grant Ave. to the south-east edge Tuxego Golf Course. Ran with the fast group of 7, the pacer wa aiming for 8 minute miles, but we picked it up on the way back (10:10 there, 9:21 back).

Wellington Cr., Park Blvd. N., Corydon Ave., along the west side of Tuxedo Gulf Course, Grant Ave., Chalfort Rd., Cathcart St., along the Harte Trail (Trans Canada Trail) to Hull Rd. past the Perimeter Hwy. and back. The had recently graveled the trail past the Perimeter Hwy. and it is no longer dirt single track like it was last year. Beautiful day for a ride and I even stopped for some huge delicious saskatoon berries on the way!

2 loops of Birds Hill Park with the RSM group. The group stayed in a pack for the first loop and then five of us broke away at the start of the second loop.

Kings Park, dog bones course. Did not make a very good route, so ended up going further then others. Made about a 0:45 mistake on #1A when I couldn't make sense of the map with had some mistakes in the area.

With Tim when we arrived at the staging area. Very tired after working 9+ hours until 2:15 am., not getting to sleep until 4:30 am. and waking up at 8:20 am.

Made up a course with all 19 controls that people put out. Was unable to find #3 on my course and spent 10:00 looking, there seemed to be many map mistakes in the area. Went within 5 meters of #14 and didn't see it, so I had to relocate costing me about 5:00. Spent about 10:00 looking for #17 before I finally found it in a horribly mapped tick green area, where you needed to be within 3 meters of the control to see it.

McDermot Ave. and Main St. and back. Extremely tired after both orienteering and working today in consecutive days. To top it off I crashed my bike on the way home. There was luckily no damage to my bike and the owner didn't care that his truck was dinted, but I have some nasty road rash now.

Around the Wellington Cr., Omands Creek footbridge loop. The Omands Creek footbridge was still underwater, so I had to go to Portage Ave. and around. Didn't feel that good after only running twice since the Marathon June 17.

0:45 at about 50%, 45 seconds at about 70% x 7 x 2 sets. 32 laps total. The group was planning on doing 3 sets, but it started raining, so I got a ride home.

To Assiniboine Park to watch the Canada Day Fireworks that were rescheduled from yesterday. Probably the best ever fireworks that I have seen and they lasted about 22 minutes, allot longer than yesterday.
