The race started at 10:00 am. and I settled into a comfortable pace as the eventual race winner went out of the start like a rocket. I was passed by a guy about 500 meters into the race. With each passing lap it got more difficult both physically and mentally. The course was not flat for a change, with small hills throw-out the 2.5 km. loop. I ended up in 3rd place overall, about 150 meters behind 2nd place.
