Orienteering 2:00:14 [4]10.6 km (11:21 / km) +370m 9:39 / km
US Champs Day 2 Blue - better than Day 1 but that isn't saying much.

Blue - Splits

Saturday Sep 13

Orienteering 2:39:44 [4]11.6 km (13:46 / km) +420m 11:40 / km
US Champs Day 1 Blue - a major shock to the system, tons of deadfall and seriously unpleasant underbrush (well... brush - the worst of it was in otherwise open areas), not a lot of distinct contour to navigate by, great difficulties reading open/semi-open/wooded boundaries. Two massive (minutes in the double digits) errors and much minor blundering in the control circle. I have a great deal of work to do before I perform well in terrain similar to that.
Cycling 1:35:00 [3]19.0 mi (4:59 / mi)

Blue - Splits

Friday Sep 12

Orienteering 49:50 [3]5 km (9:58 / km)
US Champs Model Event - the merest hint of what was to come since this must have been the area of the map with just about the densest trail network. Though perhaps the unmapped manhole I mistook for an attack point should have clued me in as to how much trouble I'd later have deciding which dead tree/fallen tree/boulder I happened to be contemplating.

Wednesday Sep 10

Cycling 1:40:00 [3]19.0 mi (5:15 / mi)

Tuesday Sep 9

Cycling 1:20:00 [3]16.1 mi (4:57 / mi)

Monday Sep 8

Cycling 2:00:00 [3]20.0 mi (6:00 / mi)
Slightly longer commute than usual due to diversion to Goethe Institute on the way home to see Lotte Reinger films. Surprisingly sore from the low intensity though long weekend.
