| Went for an easy jog from home with two detailed maps bagged back to back and the Silva Thumb Magnifier I bought a while back - have to try and get comfortable with the thing sometime. Feels like a useful thing to have when the control circle is in a very detailed area and spares me having to hold the map so that a compass-mounted one shows the area of interest. Holding both hands on the map definitely does take away from running more than a compass-mounted magnifier though. I think I'll try running with it this weekend - it's light enough that I feel I can live with it even if I turn out not to use it much. |

| Usual running form exercises but only 3x100m strides and I cut the whole thing short as my left calf was feeling fragile - with the selection races the next two weekends, this would be a very stupid time to injure myself doing a light workout. |
