Sage Stomp Middle Distance Course 8 - a good but not great race - one significant parallel error approaching the vicinity of the control on 4, overly conservative and climb-intensive route to 3, the rest I won't beat myself up over. The fact that ten seconds better would have moved me up two places rankles a bit.

Would have liked to fit a little bit of running into the taper for this weekend but it was apparently not to be for schedule reasons. At least injury is unlikely while cycling. Got passed by a very impressive roadie heading down a long hill on Wisconsin Ave, gave chase for about 100 meters, then thought "Low impact or not, how stupid is it to sprint in an attempt to keep up with this guy two days before a trials race?" and backed off.

Warmup/cooldown jogging, 8x100m strides, bounding and what I've decided to go with salal in calling silly walks (in my case, bum kicks, A's and B's). No particular physical effects from the weekend perceptible other than a slight feeling in my ankles of their having been well used.

Just before and while watching 24 - just realised Sage Stomp is going to make me miss the 2 hour finale. Curses! Will have to try and get it taped.
