Sunday Feb 10

Note
Rosaryville
Cycling 1:35:00 [3]
Another Branch Avenue-Rosaryville round trip but a slower one since I was up against heavy winds on the return trip in the evening.
Hiking 4:30:00 [1]
Logged portion of field checking in Rosaryville State Park.

Saturday Feb 9

Note
Rosaryville
Cycling 1:25:00 [3]
Round trip between Branch Avenue Metro and Rosaryville.
Hiking 3:10:00 [1]
Logged portion of field checking time in Rosaryville State Park.

Friday Feb 8

Cycling 57:00 [3]
Laziness and sanity prevailed and I therefore didn't get out of bed early and go to the pool, reasoning that I need the sleep if I'm going to be getting up early Saturday and Sunday to head out to Rosaryville. Just got up at the usual time and cycled to work. Also home with no sidetrips as I was on my way to the Noism 2008 performance at the Kennedy Center.

Thursday Feb 7

Running 1:15:00 [2] 8.0 mi (9:23 / mi)
Run to work through Rock Creek Park.
Cycling 35:00 [3]
Cycling home by way of TPSS and the aquatic center.
Swimming 35:00 [2]
Mostly flutterkicking.
Deep Water Running 54:00 [2]
Running until I needed to strike for home in order to have a chance of accomplishing other agenda items for the evening.

Wednesday Feb 6

Note
One week to Sankai Juku - make not other plans
Cycling 30:00 [3]
Cycling to work. New rack setup seems to have passed initial testing.
Running 2:02:00 [2] 12.0 mi (10:09 / mi)
Run from work through Rock Creek Park to Cleveland Park - walked home shopping for groceries from there.

Tuesday Feb 5

Cycling 1:10:00 [3]
Cycling to work. Didn't even try to get out of bed and exercise early in the morning - needed to get caught up on sleep. Home by way of the Silver Spring TPSS, a hardware store, where I got some washers and fasteners with which to finally fix a longstanding annoying problem with the way a bike shop set up my rear rack in order to have clearance around the rear disc brake, and the aquatic center.
Swimming 31:00 [3]
About one third various strokes and the rest flutterkicking.

Monday Feb 4

Cycling 30:00 [2]
Easy ride home with a stop at Safeway on the way. Oh, and an idiot in a Prius took a shot at running me over trying to sneak through a left turn the way one would in Britain or Japan, apparently without looking to see whether this would inconvenience anyone. So I got my shot of adrenaline for the evening.
