| George Washington Birthday Classic 10K? Logistics of getting there tight but not impossible. But I'll go with the By George 5K as long as they don't move it from Hains Point to Belle Haven Park. Perhaps even if they do - having just run a 5K on the Belle Haven course in December, it's arguably a better fitness test as far as gauging my progress or lack thereof goes. Rosaryville afterwards. |

| Cycling to work by way of the aquatic center. Home by way of PCRM. Rear tire flatted on the way home from there just before reaching Connecticut Ave - walked home with the bike from there rather than change the tube under field conditions. |

| Meant to go longer but the usual trouble getting moving. At least the pool closing for the swim meet this weekend doesn't start until noon Friday so I have one more chance to get in a longer pool workout this week. |

| Personnel at the bike shop near work having had time and the temperature having made it a few degrees above zero again, I biked to work rather than Metro or trying running through Rock Creek in the rain. Also home. |

| If I kept a list of things I need to do before I die and if watching a nearly naked, shaven headed Japanese man covered in white powder dance while holding a live peacock in his arms was on it, I could now cross it off. An apparently typically mystifying butoh performance at the Kennedy Center. Not very conventionally dancerly but pretty uniformly visually interesting ranging up to striking. |

| Work commute in after another noble hope to train in the morning before work died stillborn. Some karmic punishment resulted in the form of my rear derailleur cable snapping about a kilometer to a kilometer and a half short of work. No ride home due to broken bike and, once that was fixed, icy streets and sidewalks - I had a fun time just walking my bike to Metro on some sloping sections of sidewalk. |
