In-line Skating 35:00 [3]

Skated to work. Nothing feeling too bad, at least not anything crucial to inline skating. Probably means cycling home will also feel fine. Won't do anything running-ish before tomorrow evening.

Cycling 33:00 [3]

Cycled home by way of TPSS and Safeway.

Orienteering race 2:37:20 [4] 19.1 km (8:14 / km) +535m 7:14 / km

US Ultra-long Champs - easily best race of the weekend, never missed any controls though I was hesitant/inefficient on some number (not that finding the controls was very difficult, in general). Tried to push hard on the trail runs but wasn't feeling as wasted physically as has usually been the case after this event (downhill finish helps, I suppose) so may not have pushed quite hard enough. Winsplits says one identifiable mistake worth about 3.5 minutes which I'll blame on what I perceived as the undermapping of some ferociously thorny vegetation fringing one of the clearings athwart a relatively direct route towards 9 - I ended up going well around to the left and it apparently would have been faster to have gone around the clearings through the light green to the right of the clearings, which option I had rejected in my initial route choice and didn't think to consider when it became clear I wasn't going to get through the vegetation where I'd intended (though I might have been too far north by then for the right hand route to have been viable anyway). I also lost some time to sloppy rough compass, in particular from control 5 towards the track I attacked 6 from - went too directly south and ended up running around the edge of a pond/marsh that I should have passed safely to the west of. Went straight at first from 13 towards 14 through the area that wasn't field checked - no doubt the road would have been faster but I felt committed by the time that was clear and continuing until I reached the shallow reentrant east of the control, to be only briefly confused by what struck me as being an unmapped marsh, succeeded without a major time loss.

Orienteering race 15:37 [5] 2.6 km (6:00 / km) +60m 5:23 / km

US Sprint Champs - non-disastrous but not very good.

Orienteering race 37:21 [4] 5.6 km (6:40 / km) +245m 5:28 / km

ROC A meet middle - moderately good/better race than sprint certainly, though not free of significant errors, two of which were quite silly and hard to excuse. Still, was much more in control of my orienteering.

Cycling 58:00 [3]

Cycling to work. Home by way of the aquatic center.

Swimming 1:40:00 [2]

Flutterkicking., partly because of swimmers training and waterpolo and partly because of volume problems with headphones - set to maximum and could only just hear in one ear even underwater. May have to order new ones.
