my hip started to hurt towards the end of the run. I stopped and switched to the elliptical and it was much better. I think I'll stick to the elliptical next week.

Tried for another long run today but got stuck running in the cold rain. It's probably for the best because I think I have a groin strain or something similar from running in the snow. Doh! A few days off are prescribed now.

Trail fail. We decided to run the Muir trails in hopes that the fat tire bikers would pack down the trails for us. It appears that the bikers were thinking the same thing, they were waiting for people to pack down the trails for them. It was a slow going slog so we cut our run short not wanting to waste our long run of the week doing 15+ min/mi.

6 mi on the treadmill @ 8:00 pace. I'm still all sorts of sore from running on snow this past week, and it made the tempo run a bit challenging.

Snowshoeing again with Mom and Dad on the trails at the Highground. We went a little bit further today and it was snowing while we were out there. So pretty! Unfortunately we got stuck for a bit in a snowbank after while trying to drive out. Shackletoning at it's best!

Running on the roads in Neillsville. 12th St to Owen Rd out to Hwy C and back. It was extremely cold, it got me chilled down to the bone. I had white eyelashes too, but Oh, how pretty it is there.

Running on the roads in Neillsville. Grand Ave to S Mound Rd to Hwy G and back. It was a magical run. My legs were still sore from our Sunday shackeltoning but there was fresh snow on the ground and not a soul in site during my run. I love the gently and not so gently rolling hills there.

Took my parents snowshoeing on the trails at the Highground. They were apprehensive at first but really liked it! We went slow to allow my dad to catch his breath from time to time but it gave me some time to take everything in and chat with my mom.

2 out and backs from hwy 12 to rice lake w/Ben. It was a hard slog of it. It was pretty snowy and cold. I wore my mt masochist and they worked out great except for giving me a blister on the pad of my big toe. My hip flexors are super sore from all the slipping around in the snow.
