17 the heart rate is totally off. I finally figured out why. On my easy six mile route I run past a transformer and the hr monitor always goes crazy when I'm by it. Otherwise my legs did feel a bit tired today.

16 Ran at the VA with the boys, Dorn, Dominic, and Geoff. It was fun to be out on the trails with them. Dom wanted to find every hill in the park and run up it and the rest of us shook our heads and followed along for the fun of it. It was so warm and sunny out. A great time was had by all.

14 Ran the Human Powered Trails in LaCrosee WI. They're nice trails but I wish I had more time and that I would have put on my microspikes. I really could have cruised on those trails then. Today was good though. It was a reaffirmation that my training is going well because it all felt pretty easy. Cruising down the trail. It's been awhile since I've felt that way.

6 Since we're going up to my parents this weekend I had to get in my long run today. It was a beautiful day for it. High 40's and sunny. It was great. I'm really loving my long runs again. I used to dread them, which is so wrong. I think I was just running too hard.

Day 2. I felt really good today despite having done a long run yesterday. I'm not sore or tired at all. I really think keeping track of my heart rate and other info is helping. I'm already starting to make really good correlations and I'm going to make some changes to my training as a result.

Day 1. Ran on the roads around Rock Cut today. It made for a good time. It's got enough hills and scenery to keep it interesting so I hardly even noticed I was running on the road and not the trail. I felt really good throughout the whole run. I thought about going further but I had to get back to my valentine.

Tried out the trails at the Ridge. It was no good. When it wasn't slick, rutted ice it was muddy. I don't mind muddy, but I hate trying to run on icy trails. No thank you. I think I'll wait until everything thaws.

MAF test: I tried to keep my heart rate at 148

I did an out and back on the HUM trail which could be why the splits go down at the end. I've always thought there was a slight incline when going East on the trail. I'm going to do a MAF test the first of every month to gauge how my training is going.

Is it possible to yoga hardcore? Well, I did. I held on to my warrior 2 form even after I thought that my quads would explode. I'm starting to be able to be mindful of all parts of my body while in poses. After two + years of doing yoga, I'm getting there.
