Holy cats was it windy out there today. It felt like I was nearly running in place for half my run. On the upside, my stride and foot strike are starting to go back to normal. I keep on running with my right foot tightened up into almost a fist expecting it to hurt, but I'm starting to relax a little.

I went to the Swallow Cliff O meet with Ben, Ian, and Deanna. It was so much fun. I've been to Palos many times to run trails with people but there were many times today that I found myself saying, 'I had no idea this was here' We climbed up and down ravines, hiked through dry river beds that were two feet deep with leaves, tramped through the brush and got covered in prickers. So much fun.

solamente upper body today because I'm kinda sore from yesterday's workout. There's this lady at the gym that brings in her own dvd player and does that insanity workout. It's annoying, she takes up the whole stretching area and she takes all the ten and twelve pound free weights. I wanted to do walking lunges but she was right in my walking path which really annoyed me so I got as close to her mouth breathing sweatiness as I could stand and did a ton of reps of walking lunges. Who knew that a workout like that would make me really sore the next day.

Yesterday was not a good day. I felt like I was back to square one with my foot hurting again. I'm not quite sure what set it off but I'm not going to ride the bike at all this week to see if that is what is setting it off. I'll feel like a complete douche if that is the cause. Anyway, I'm sticking to strength training and yoga this week. I do have a lot of work to at the vineyard this week to. That compost aint going to shovel itself.

40 min on bike, 10 on elliptical. I felt my foot starting to tighten up the tiniest bit so I stopped. I want to give it as much rest as I can this next week before I start running again.

lower body, walking lunges, squats, leg lifts, abs. I'm getting really good at the 'cirque du soliel' move with the exercise ball. I'm going to really wow them all at the next yoga ball class.

elliptical. My foot didn't hurt at all during the workout, which is awesome. The ankle exercise I was doing during strength training stressed my tendon a bit though, but not too bad.

Yoga class - worked on moving more towards 'flow' yoga. We did some sun salutations with other poses thrown in. I tried to concentrate on relaxing into the poses and not enduring or fighting them. As a result I got so zen it was ridiculous!

Ran to my polling place then to the gym, then back home after. My foot feels mostly better but still tight and like I have a big lump on the right side of my heel. I'm trying ART tonight to see if it will help. I really, really hope it does.
