Ben and I ran from Hwy 12 on the IAT, north to Horseriders camp and back. After my first week of Racing weight and no sugar I had a horrible reaction to a gu and decided to run the rest of it without gu's after the first one. The result was a bit of a slower pace but all in all not too bad for how minimal we went on food and water today. I'm just glad we aren't training for anything right now because in a regular training cycle what we did today would have been super stupid.

Poker run at the VA with the Mudd runners. After running a 4mi loop you get two cards, best hand wins. I had a full house but it wasn't the best hand. It was a good run, the weather was good and my legs felt great but my feet are still a little messed up from Sawtooth yet. The new skin where my blisters were hasn't toughened up yet, but it will.

Out and back on the HUM trail. I was trying to avoid the wind today and the bike path seemed like the perfect solution. I always end up running so dang fast on that route. It's so flat, I can't hold back.

Cold and rainy run. My thighs were numb by the end of the run. On the bright side. I've been feeling so good lately, physically and mentally. I'm loving my break from training. Unfortunately the fun has to end eventually. I weighed myself today and I'm at 149 with 20% body fat. That's not horrible but considering I probably put on that 9lbs in the last month of taking it easy, I can't be lazy for too much longer if I plan on kicking ass next year. Next week I start Racing Weight.

1st annual Marengo Settlers Days "5k". I'm pretty sure it wasn't the complete 3.1 mi, because there is no way I was doing 6min mi. The course wasn't marked very well and we were all following a non english speaker that was in the lead. Oh well. I still came in 2nd female and 5th overall. Not bad for my first 5k in 3 years.
