shoes: Mt Masochist w/outdry

2 out and backs from hwy 12 to rice lake w/Ben. It was a hard slog of it. It was pretty snowy and cold. I wore my mt masochist and they worked out great except for giving me a blister on the pad of my big toe. My hip flexors are super sore from all the slipping around in the snow.

7 x 800 (.5/.6mi) on the treadmill. 1/2 mi warm w/ .3mi recoveries. I'm not too sure if these are the accurate paces but it's about right; 8:00, 7:35,7:13,6:58,6:49,6:27,6:27. I tried to do 6:18 on the last one but only did it for about a min before I thought I was seriously going to fall off the back. Not too shabby

Deerpass/Collins route. Snowing and a headwind out and back. I had a glute muscle acting up on me the last few miles.

Run at the VA. It's in the 60's today and it rained pretty good which made the trails a soupy, muddy mess. After the first loop I put on my micro spikes and went back out, and it seemed to help a lot with the slipping and sliding. My hips felt much better today but still not 100%.
