Glacial Trail 50 mi in WI. It was a gorgeous day. Sunny and a cool breeze. I stuck to my goal and ran an even effort/conservative race. I tried a mostly liquid nutrition plan consisting of drinking a couple cups of soda at aid stations and then using hammer gel in between. I also took 3 MAP pills every two hours. It worked great. I never really felt tired or low energy. I felt strong all the way to the end. The one downside to the race was that I couldn't get my shoes to fit right. they were too loose in the beginning and then I tightened them but I tightened them too much. By the time the tops of my feet started hurting I was trying desperately to stay ahead of the 5th place woman and I didn't have time to stop and readjust again. It was a great day altogether. I got 3rd place female and I'm happy with that.
