Hiking in Alum Springs Park. This is a small park hidden away in the city of Fredericksburg. In the 1700's this park was the location of a number of duels. It was also used as a prison camp for captured British and Hessian soldiers. This park has a nice stream and a 400 foot long 40 feet high limestone cliff. After hiking through the park I continued hiking on the path leading to the train station and then back to the park. If Crow's Nest is ever used for an A meet, downtown Fredericksburg would make an ideal sprint venue.
