McCulloch-Friendly Valley Loop

Time for a bigger BC hike with Roux. Started along McCulloch, then followed the top of the Onion River valley to the clearcut. Went up the usual forest track to Smith Fire Lane. Logging in process, we hiked along the eastern edge of the logged area to the trail that goes east to Potter Rd, but before getting there, we went down a ravine which turned into the valley that we'd follow to Friendly Valley Rd. Quite a struggle to get through the mess where the power company cleared trees and brush under the overland line. Crossed Friendly Valley Rd. and followed the Sioux River as long as we could. Along Friendly Valley to the Lake, then onto the RR grade towards Bayview Park. From there home, along the beach. As always a fun adventure!
