Busy out there this noon. Woman walking her dog at the snow dunes, kids getting onto buses at the school, mom walking baby and golden retriever. It was on leash-off leash several times for my guys. At least all road crossings were easy at this time.

Inadvertently clicked two when I ordered a new CPU along with other innards for my PC. Was meeting Jim M at Stub and Herbs. So combined the two. Using the mobile app to pay, no less!

Pine Point Skate Workout
10:03 AM; Gateway Trail

-4.9 °C; Clear
Karl invited me to ski with him this morning, I gladly accepted. After dropping off his skis at the EU office we drove to Pine Point Regional Park, at the end of the Gateway Trail. Neither of us had skied here so we promptly started on the multi-purpose trail. The presence of horse manure (nothing fresh, just whatever the groomer had dug to the surface) and the absence of even traces of a classic track hinted that this wasn't the actual ski trail, but it was very skiable. We rejoined the trail after crossing the Outing Lodge driveway near Myeron Rd. Then we fully dove into the maze of Pine Point's trails first skiing the green, then the yellow trail. Trails were very skiable, there were some ruts that skiers had left behind while inconsiderately skiing during Sunday's melt. There was only one poor spot, near the end of the yellow trail, short stretch of leaf litter and other organic dirt on top of ice. After completing these loops, we mixed up the two ski trails for variety. Very nice ski, highly recommended if you're looking for a place with natural snow.

The usual walk to soothe my tired legs. Got some stretches in while spending about half an hour picking up frozen dog turds in the backyard before the snow covers them up.

Como Golf Club Skate Workout
10:23 AM; Hamline Midway/Como Park

Trail mostly OK but not fun. Always on pins and needles when to hit the next icy spot. th Downhill from the very top was scary icy, I walked. Would have done another lap but Lynn expected me with the car.

Como Golf Cours Classic Workout

Against better judgment, decided to try classic. Tracks were about half glare ice and in some places completely washed out. In a few places they were OK. Lasted half a lap before returning to the car to switch to skate.
