Did not think that we'd get to do our walk today, cold and rainy all day. But it let off around 6:00 and out we went. Eerily quiet with the pandemic going on, especially much fewer cars. Did some left/right command exercises with the dogs, I should say with Roux. Mellie being deaf doesn't get the commands any longer. But Roux's had snaps in the right direction as soon as the command is uttered.

Took the drone today, figured out why the "Intelligent track" wasn't working, so gave it another try. It was tracking alright but somehow, I did not get the FPV via the mobile. Have to do this more frequently. Roux is so scared of the drone, I have to keep him on leash, otherwise he'd take off.

Did this with one crying eye, for all the hard work including countless volunteer hours that went into planning and creating the course for the last FIS world cup event of the 2019-20 ski season that was canceled due to COVID-19 last week and with a smiling eye because that enabled us to have a fantastic ski this morning. Karl and I got there around 8:00 and were the second or third car at the chalet lot. We skied five laps on the combined warm-up and world cup loops of close to exactly 4 km each under a bright blue sky. Many more skiers arrived and when we were changing out of our sweaty tops after our ski, we caught a glimpse of the friendly race of the local elites, including Bryan and Caitlin Gregg, Matt Liebsch, led by Jessie Diggins whooshing by on their way to the finish. Great morning of skiing with a bitter aftertaste.
