Karl had suggested to meet me at Timberland Hills during my drive back to the Cities. We met at 1:00 PM at the warming house and skied the outside loop. Great conditions, a few spots where the dirt came through but easily avoidable. First time here for me, I can say that Timberland Hills deserves its name, it's a constant up and down. For many of the hills, the momentum form the previous downhill helps a lot, but there are a couple decent climbs. Good to catch up with Karl, too! We came by a befuddled looking muskrat hobbling along the trail, she was probably looking for a lake. I thought to myself "Lucky I don't have Roux with me, that would have been a bloodbath ..."

Roux and I did the Alternate Trail after finishing while Karl tried to keep up with us. Fun, Roux was into it and luckily, the muskrat from earlier was nowhere to be seen!

Fun ski with Roux, we passed all of our friends and many more. Busy trails with people and a few dogs, but Jolly Long trail did not see much action. Soft, fresh snow and mild temps made for slow going but Roux was a trooper!
