Easy...Very tired...hard to just go into run without any core w/o ....temp dropped 4 C during run (-2 to-6) wind from NE....Footing OK...Think there is something wrong with HR monitor...cant believe 2 min of zone 5 at start so I moved this into z 3.
Merry Christmas everyone.

OOC Winter Solstice Charity Challenge
Queensview Terrace North
About 30 people came out and we had a tremendous collection for the food bank. (details to follow)
OK ...details...30 people exactly came out, we took in over 200 food items weighing in @ over 100 lbs of food (the way the food bank keeps stats)
The challenge part was only seriously addressed by a few and merged into a prologue and chase with courses 1 and 2. About 15 people did two courses of sort some the remainder doing either a score or 1 course. Several family groups were out. It was tough running on the sloshy snow but weather wise the conditions were beautiful.

Thanks everyone who came out to make this a great success
Special thanks to Steve B., Lorna, Team Teutsch and Jennie for pre-event support: Sheldon for control set up; Cathy for finish area set up, and my better half Colleen for registration

I started the day with a bit of exercise of my own as a safety....The rest of the day was taken up alternately with chores and set up tasks....Summation of that training info follows
