Using an Open Orienteering Map, Andrew and I went to the what I'm calling the Stonebridge map (the park lined section along the Jock between Greenbank and the Rideau River). We parked at the south end of Woodroffe coming into the Heart's Desire Park, a beautiful open woods heavily trailed map section between the community and the Jock. The quick map I made @ 1:10 000 covered quite a bit even up to St Joseph's HS. Came right up on a snapping turtle laying eggs and explored a river crossing near the end that was just plain fun. Only down side of the explore was discovering that what looked like a really cool ring park system was really just another private ring golf course a la the richy rich's @ CedarHill. Went over on my ankle about half way out but was able to run it off...Later start meant a hotter running environment. The only section I really didn't get into this time was the cemetry and Beryl Gafney - Maplehill Park section along the Rideau...more for another day
Great adventure and another 56'er

shoes: Clarion 2 - Saucony 45

Sunny and temp about 23 C and very humid. My body is just not what it used to be. Finding that I'm much more susceptible to heat these days. Gut was bothering me a bit as well.
Plodding the parkway, median and the track for this one just trying to push to a 56'er....

Glad to be able to keep moving
