Cruiser with Bandit. I had to stop to stretch calf handful of times. PF is better, but tightens up on climbs. Probably little much of a run, but it's not worse afterward. Good sign.

MTB ride with Monkey Boy. Swampy, S Fork, N Fork, Metolius, Flagline. Awesome ride. Super dry with fire in the area. Smoke only bad in couple spots. Fun ride. Nice to do long spin. Legs were cooked at end.

Hard day, but played it cool in the heat until Lambs and stayed in 2nd and kept tabs on George (leader). Made move off Bear Ass Pass and finally dropped him on Red Lover's Ridge on way to Brighton. Made it to Ant Knoll (mile 80) before I had to turn lights on. 4th fastest time in 32yr history of course. Pretty darn stoked. 9th 100 mile win. Gotta get one more to make in an even 10. :)

Quick run to turn the legs over and finalize shoe choice. Been so up in the air after TRR and the blister issue on steep downs...has me scrambling for shoe choice. Brooks True Grit it is w/ NB 790s in drops as backup. Pretty confident TG will be solid. Looking forward to Wasatch. Looking at maps and bringing all the memories back of time on that course...run once, paced twice, trained on parts few times during OR. Sweet, sweet course. Giddyup, man, giddyup.
