Easter day 3.
Failure again. I was so angry at myself - had really good run and mucked badly N10(13min on green course control) and N11(4 mins).
Thinking about what happened and looking at gps route I was running OK but started to doubt if direction was OK. Still kept running on the track but was thinking it was a wrong one. Next control was just a rush and attempt to make up what I lost - left control in wrong direction.
I should have probably ran faster in the beginning of the course but just tried to preserve some energy for the whole race because 8.5km was quite a long distance. Not for this type of terrain!
If it was not that those 2 terrible mistakes I would have finished in 58-59 mins 8.5km course and I would have just overtook Greg Lane (15 min deficit after 2 days) but this is just a wishful thinking...

Easter day 2
Mount Alexander. Another failure in the granite terrain. Started OK-ish with small error on 1st control not reading description correct. Failed at 2nd control where I lost 10mins. Got too high and could not figure out where I was. Thanks to Steve Doyle who showed me where his control was(I was standing at some other control). At this point I saw Milo leaving it(10 mins started after me). Was running OK up until long leg to 5 where I got too high again - less time lost. Another disaster happened at N9 - for some reason I thought I was at 10 and ran to 11. Realised that map did not match with terrain. Took me a while before I figured that I did not visit N10! Another disaster near N15 - I found 2 other controls but not mine, eventually drifted to N16 and then beck to 15 along the fence. Smart Winsplits is correct - I lost 25 mins.

Easter day 1
It was my best race for this Easter. A view errors here and there, controlled speed, decided to slow down in the final part of the course where it became very technical and I was tired which worked out well for me.
Unfortunately could not sleep - we were camping and not prepared well for freezing weather! It was the case pretty much for all nights :(

Easter Prologue.
Sprint in La Trobe University in Bendigo. Good mix of bush and university camp terrain. Got stuck in the second part with tricky route choices around buildings in the second loop(was standing 5 meters from controls and still not seening it). Lack of sprint training became apparent. I did not really push just tried to have error-less run. Winsplits suggest I lost 2.56 which I tend to agree.
