Orienteering race 52:00 [4] 6.2 km (8:23 / km) +90m 7:49 / km
(injured) shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra
Plan for this weekend was to not damage ankle any further. So, having that as a main objective put me into the position of walking the course which turned out to be a completely new experience! I was wandering before the race if with walking I could hit all controls without any time loss. 1,2 controls were right on spot, 3rd was a long leg and I used contours but tried to be as close to the line as possible. It worked out well. After 3rd controls I started to jog as I felt more comfortable/confident and terrain did allow for that. Drifted a bit to the right, oversoot and lost 2.5 mins on 7th. Then lost 4.5 mins on 9th which was misplaced and then they put control back into correct place.
Other that that it was a clean but slow walk/jog. Pretty happy with result, it is a pity that control 9 was misplaced so later starters had an advantage over us.
