Orienteering race 50:19 [4] 6.0 mi (8:23 / mi)

London City Race, Barbican. Men's Vets, 7.0km.
Quite pleased with my run when I'd just finished as I'd avoided any big mistakes in the Barbican. Turns out lots of other people did so too, so ended up 5 mins down on Martin. My road speed just isn't quite quick enough and I suspect anyone who'd run in the Barbican before had quite an advantage. Great fun, but not proper orienteering. At least my body held together OK.

Trail running 25:00 [3] 3.0 mi (8:20 / mi)
(injured)

Digley. Left calf was much better than I expected. Only a slight soreness behind the knee, less of a problem running than it has been walking the last couple of days. Bottom of right calf/achilles still slightly sore though. Take it steady for a while yet (alternate days as much as possible). I am booked in to see Kim for an attempt to loosen my calfs, but not for a couple of weeks.
