DVO Level B, Birchen Edge.
Short Brown, 8.3km, 195m.
The weather kindly relented before I had to start so no glasses problems. Started 3 mins after Ali Thornton and, despite a good start, I never got close to him. Drifted off line en route to #6 hitting the edge a good 200m north of where I intended (-1 min). Got in a train of Black course runners through #7 to #12, then coming out of #12 my buff got pulled off by a tree. Stopped to pick it up and put it in my bumbag, by which time my train was in the distance. Chased off after them for a few 100m before realising they were heading the wrong way for my #13. Confused I wandered about a bit before relocating (- 1 min). Biggest mistake was at #18 which I thought was a bit bingo in the deep (but dead) bracken. Followed someone into the wrong control before eventually finding the correct one (- 2mins).
Finished 1 min down on Ali and 30s on John Duckworth. OKish.
Hamstring was problematic again.

SYO Club Champs, Limb Valley.
Mass start score event with 700m sprint course at end. Max 45 min time limit. Cruised around in a non-optimal order. Hamstring much better today.

Left hamstring problematic walking now.

Golf. 4 ball better ball with Paul against Andy and Roy. We lost 5 and 4. I was happy with my play; just unable to compete with Andy who went round in 72. Every hole won in par or better. Approx 35 Stableford points.

Variation on the Wolfstones-Meltham-Harden Moss route. Left hamstring getting more troublesome. Also some slight soreness in R Achilles towards the end.

Golf. Pro's mid week comp. 36 Stableford points (18/18). Had to 'blob' the last hole to protect my handicap ;-) Driving well today.
