Note

Golf with Andy, Mick and Roy. 15 holes in filthy weather but proper greens. 31 Stableford points.
2 PM

Road running 45:00 [3] 5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 1080v4

Abortive attempt at intervals. 2 mile warm up then 2 x 4 mins at tempo. Lower right calf tightened up towards the end of the second effort so jogged home.
I think I need to get Richard working on my right leg.
3 PM

Cycling 25:00 [2]

Trying out Lulu's new turbo. 10 mins warm up, 2 x 4 mins effort (2 mins ), 5 mins warm down. Decent training if you're honest but need something to relieve the boredom.

Orienteering race 59:14 [4] 7.0 mi (8:28 / mi)
shoes: Innov8 X-Talon (3)

NOC Robin Hood Trophy, The Dukeries.
Short Brown course, 9.0km 85m.
Running well with minimal time loss. Suspect I may have been too careful to avoid the grotty forest. 7 miles seems a long way for a 9 km course. Splits analysis might be interesting.
Finished 45 seconds behind Alasdair P and Dave P. At least that's closer than I was at Malham.
Winsplits: http://obasen.orientering.se/winsplits/online/en/d...
Suggests I lost 45 seconds on #14. This was the one leg I got caught up badly in brambles (not shown on the map) so feel a bit unlucky.

Trail running 20:00 [3] 2.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Innov8 X-Talon (3)

Warm up and down to/from start/finish. Achilles seems OK.

Orienteering race 39:47 [4] 4.0 mi (9:57 / mi)
shoes: Innov8 X-Talon (3)

MDOC John O Goats, Lyme (Park).
Medium course missing out 3 controls. Full length 7.7km.
It was pretty obvious to miss #2, 3 and 4 so Simon and I ended up leading a trail of M50s around. Running strongly but making some silly mistakes, mostly wrong crossing point choices. Pleased to be able to outsprint Simon at the end. Forgot to wear my glasses but so little detail this didn't really matter.

Terrain running 20:00 [2] 2.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Innov8 X-Talon (3)

Warm up and down up the hill from the car park. R Achilles a little grumbly.
