Note

According to the EOC website I've been selected to represent England at Interland. It's in Holland on 11th March. Same day as CompassSport Cup at Canklow. Club or Country? If everyone in SYO selected takes their place it could easily make the difference between us qualifying for the Final or not.

Digley. Just doing short easy runs this week in hope that my Achilles will settle down. It was sore for this run but not acutely. Ice after.

Orienteering race 1:04:10 [3] 5.0 mi (12:50 / mi)
shoes: VJ Integrator (blue)

Edinburgh Big Weekend day 2. Arthur's Seat.
Blue course, 5.8km 390m.
Still very cold with compacted snow on the paths having turned to ice. Not ideal conditions for racing. Started steadily and was going ok as far as #14. Lost track of where I was on the way to #15 and struggled to relocate. Lost around 4 mins here. The last few legs were less enjoyable and I minced my way around the Seat to the finish. Not surprised to be 5 mins down on Martin and lucky still to be 2nd M50.
Most importantly Achilles coped without much discomfort.
