8 AM

Orienteering 1:00:00 [2] 4.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
shoes: Innov8 Mudclaw(2)

Controlling the Alistair Tinto memorial event at Storthes Hall.
Easy jog/walk around all the controls in not the most efficient order. This would have been ideal rehab for my Achilles had it been just 30 mins. I was actually out for around 90 mins. Achilles was getting increasingly grumbly. Also quite a bit of walking around after the first starters to double check a few things.

Event went OK except for the shortage of maps. It seems there is an increasing reluctance to pre-enter. Apologies to all affected by the map recycling. Don't mess with EPOC Planners!
2 PM

Orienteering 15:00 [2] 1.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
shoes: Innov8 Mudclaw(2)

Control collecting. Ice once I got home.

3 PM

Mountain Bike 1:09:00 [2] 11.5 mi (6:00 / mi)

Standard Digley-Yateholme-Hades-Cartworth Moor circuit. First time for a year as the Yateholme track has been closed for work on Riding Wood dam.
Very slow. Not quite sure why but the Ramsden Road is very rough at the moment. This didn't stop me overtaking a 4x4 on this section :-)

Note

According to the EOC website I've been selected to represent England at Interland. It's in Holland on 11th March. Same day as CompassSport Cup at Canklow. Club or Country? If everyone in SYO selected takes their place it could easily make the difference between us qualifying for the Final or not.
9 AM

Note

Golf with Andy. 38 Stableford points (19/19).
2 PM

Note

Calf massage with Richard. Concentrating on left calf and Achilles.
