Achilles pretty good this morning. No real pain, just a general awareness that it's not quite the same as the other one. Rest today and (if OK tomorrow morning) continue the build up.

Orienteering race 30:27 [3] 2.5 mi (12:11 / mi)
(injured) shoes: VJ Integrator (blue)

LOC Galoppen, Black Beck (actually Dockney Parrock).
Short Green course, 3.4km, 150m.
Very wet, rough and slippery. I was pretty cautious due to my Achilles. A bit like a middle distance with 16 controls. Much fun. A couple of small errors (#6 and #13) amounting to a minute in total.
Achilles seemed OK but tomorrow morning will be the test. Ice in evening.

No reaction to yesterday's run. Achilles fine this morning :)

Going to stick with alternate days and gradual build up of distance for a while. Golf off due to foul weather so looking like a day of TV sport.

Test run. Laps of the Rec. so flat, soggy grass. Achilles OK. I was aware of it but it wasn't sore and didn't get any worse as the run progressed. Precautionary ice after. Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning.

Standard MTB loop again. Much worse conditions than Tuesday: wet, sticky or slippery tracks and a moderate wind. Pleased just to get out.

Hop test for Achilles: much better than last week.
