Anticlockwise loop of the Black Hill plateau to watch some of the leaders in the Spine Race. Bumped into Mike Fanning who was spectating at the trig. Kudos to the Spine racers; it's a long way to Kirk Yetholm and the weather could be better. ..

Golf. Saturday comp. 4BBB over 15 holes. Team score of 65 Stableford points. Very windy again so I was rubbish.

Decided to take a rest day. Achilles slightly niggly since Friday so hopefully a day off will allow it to settle down.

Unsurprisingly a bit rusty but not too bad in windy conditions. Feel like I may have strained muscles in my left side and right foot.

This is the note I made this time last year:

Great two week block of training. Sensible amount of running supplimented by plenty of cycling. Achilles seems fine. Good start to M55. Now back to the standard routine. 3-4 running sessions per week supplimented with pilates, circuits and shoulder strengthening. Will endeavour to continue with one bike ride a week as well. Oh, and some golf :-)
