Mountain Bike 1:45:00 [2] 22.0 mi (4:46 / mi)

Wooldale, Hade Edge, Shepley, Kirkburton, Farnley Tyas.

Legs suffering even more this morning. L calf tight again as well as niggly R Achilles. DOMS?
2 PM

Note

Golf with (and socially distanced from) Roy.
24 Stableford points (6/18).

Note
(rest day)

Golf with (and socially distanced from) Mark.
28 Stableford points (12/16).

Feeling a bit battered today. The double reintroduction to golf and orienteering obviously took it out of me. Achilles a bit niggly but hopefully no worse than all the other sore bits.

Note

Golf with (and socially distanced from) Mick.
24 Stableford points (11/13). Rusty.
3 PM

Orienteering 44:50 [3] 4.0 mi (11:13 / mi)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw (3)

SYO weekly TOC, Wheata Woods.
Long course, 5.3km 140m.
Unfortunately the Adams family turned up at the same time as the Tryners and the Dakins. It was therefore difficult to avoid getting into some head-to-head 'racing'. I intended to take it easy and jog/walk some of the time. However my calf and Achilles were feeling good so I ended up running the whole way, although at a pace well within myself. I did deliberately take direct routes to avoid track running.
Navigation was good as far as #6 but made a couple of little mistakes at #7 and #8.
Achilles a little grumbly towards the end. Calf fine.

Mountain Bike 4:00:00 [2] 51.0 mi (4:42 / mi)

Ride into Calderdale whilst car being serviced. Trying to follow the Rochdale canal towpath but lots of detours due to ongoing work following the floods. Took an extended detour at Mytholmroyd up Cragg Vale and over Blackstone Edge to Littleborough before rejoining the canal just beyond Summit.
Surprised that the time up Cragg Vale was only a few seconds slower than my pb set on the road bike.

Note
(rest day)

I did set out for a short bike ride but had a RTA in Holmfirth and abandoned.

Hopefully not too much damage. Front tyre blew out and front brakes gone (probably the cause?). Myself I have a damaged left thumb and (hopefully just) bruised R knee. Hobbling a bit now.
Worried I might have set back my return to golf...

Terrain running 1:10:00 [2] 6.0 mi (11:40 / mi)
shoes: VJ Integrator (blue)

Very steady run with occasional bits of walking.
Walked/jogged up to Ramsden Clough before switching shoes. From there around the south edge of the clough, across to the county boundary, fence to Holme Moss, Black Hill, a little bit of the PW, new fence/cross country to the spur above Holme. Switched shoes back for the last couple of miles around Digley.
Calf absolutely fine. R Achilles a little niggly. Ice after.
