Potter around Hardcastle Crags with Janet. Quads still sore and foot not enjoying any contouring.

Mountain bike 1 year old today.
Mileage to date: 1630 (compared with total of 3500 over nearly 6 years on the previous one).
Obviously this year has been unusual in many ways, but injuries (first Achilles, now foot) would have meant a lot of cycling whatever. Very pleased with how the new bike has performed so far.

Easy ride with Eliza from Emmerdale. Up to Black Sail hut and back, then back to Lorton via Mosedale. Mostly rideable.
Quads are sore today but an easy bike ride just what was called for. Foot no worse after yesterday's long walk.
Edit: why does spell check automatically change Ennerdale to Emmerdale?

Hill walk with the Barries.
From Gatesgarth Farm, Haystacks, Great Gable and Fleetwith Pike. Quads are going to hurt after the descent from Fleetwith Pike. Actual walking time 4 hours.
I only decided to join in with this at the last minute because I was worried about my foot. Actually it was no more painful than playing golf. Hopefully my quads hurt more than my foot tomorrow morning.

2 x the southern red route (inc the black extension the second time) with Adam. Then back to Lorton.

Loop through very wet fields from cottage in High Lorton. I've missed the Lakes.
Route 50% longer than I really wanted but foot pain within bearable limits. 10 mins/mile never felt such hard work.
