Sunday Feb 7 #

12 PM

Mountain Bike 3:10:00 [1] 36.0 mi (5:17 / mi)
shoes: Shimano AM9 MTB SPD

Turfing around the west side of Huddersfield.
Today was the first day of a new round. I watched the carnage of the mass start in Sheffield before deciding to go out myself. It was pretty marginal. Our road was a sheet of ice but a walk down to the main road confirmed that was just about rideable and I correctly guessed it would get better the further down the valley I got. Keeping hands warm was a issue though.
Phone battery died in Berry Brow so unable to pick up the Honley and Holmfirth turfs on the way home. Serves me right for getting up at 5am to watch the cricket.
Bike getting noisy. Maybe time for a service.

Saturday Feb 6 #

Digley, Underhill in heavy rain. Wrong footwear and no waterproof. Grim. Hardly anyone out and about today.
