Irish Long Distance Champs, Crohane Lake.
M55, 4.7km 160m.
Feeling gradually more and more run down as the weekend progresses. Could be tiredness, could be coming down with something or could just be the volume of Murphy's (or any combination). Anyway it was easy to persuade myself to run on this area. Much fun (despite struggling with wet glasses), especially the forest bit at the end.
2nd place, +3 mins to Bill (standard for last 3 weekends now...)

Irish Middle Distance Champs, Cappanalea.
M55, 3.5km 120m.
Quite straightforward but I still managed to contrive to lose time. Firstly by heading towards #10 from #8 before realising that I hadn't been to #9. Then small misses at #11 and #12.
Finished 3rd, 2 mins behind Bill.

Irish Sprint Champs, Muckross House.
M55, 2.1km 45m.
Up at 3am and long journey so not the ideal prep. Also obviously concerned about doing a Sprint at the start of a long weekend. Persuaded to run because there was very little hard surface. Easier not to race flat out once I had messed up #2 with an excursion through the wrong gap in the wall.
A little surprised not to be further behind Bill. 3rd place, 1.5 mins down.

Experimented by carrying just 4 clubs (hybrid, 7 iron, wedge and putter). Definitely scored better than when carrying a full set on Tuesday....
