Ride from the O car park at Graythwaite. Wray Castle, Claiffe Heights, Breasty Haw and back over the south end of Graythwaite. Lovely day for it. Achilles not bad but definitely not worth risking racing consecutive days.

LOC National Event, Holme Fell.
Blue course, 4.8km 320m.
Really glad I decided to enter. Excellent course on an excellent new map of a classic area. Shame I forgot my magnifier as I was unable to decifer the fine detail in the circle at 1:10k. A few hesitations as a result but no major time losses.
Achilles not bad but definitely benefitted from quite a lot of uphill walking. I won't be running tomorrow to allow it to settle back down.
