Umngeni River Run 50km. Plan was for a relaxed and relatively easy run (after 36km it no longer felt easy). Route was similar to last year with a start from Falkland Farm and running through the sugar cane until dropping into the Umngeni Valley. Followed the river for a bit, past the start for Table Mountain Descent paddling race with a loop up one of the hills (just for extra climbing I think) then two river crossings out of the valley and into Maweni and Cumberland nature reserve. And then back home, thank goodness. Felt much better than I did last year, and took about 30 minutes quicker. 6th overall
