Very chuffed with how it went - it felt like everything came together.

A tough but runnable course with a lot of ups and downs (mostly in the forms of steps it felt) and tar/concrete surfaces. Weather started getting hot around Hout bay onwards but was otherwise perfect. Happy with my nutrition - managed to consume about 230 cal per hour, drinking probably 700 - 900ml per hour (predominantly water with GU electrolyte tablets)

I won't give a route description as I'm not quite exactly sure where i was half the time... Felt good up to Alphen Trail aid station and then had some dark times for the next few kms in the Klaasenbosch trails, but fortunately it got better.

The vibe was amazing and the support incredible - felt like it was a road run. Good to see some familiar faces (thanks for the support Stijn) and i got my photo with Courtney Dauwalter (my day was made at that point ;) )

All in all, a very fun day of running but I'm glad it's done! 46th overall, 8th lady and third South African lady in
