Thought I'd try a very long run. Took plenty food and water in my new camelbak. Drank 1 litre of water, ate 100g of jelly babies, a gel and 2 bits of shortbread.

Started at scolty, ran over gouach hill, toms cairn, through finzean, up peter hill, clachnaben, mount shade then back to scolty. Didn't go all the way up scolty on the way back as I was starving! Felt pretty good

Along the river by blackhall, up to the shooting greens car park then along the new section of the deeside way towards potarch. They are still working on the last section but it should be completed soon.

Run from the road at greendams round the clachnaben race route with Alan Tait. Very wet underfoot. Wasn't really pushed at all. Still got a bit of a cold so probably for the best. Just realised what a horrible course it is, washed out paths, deep heather and bogs.

8 x 1mile reps along the deeside line with 2min recovery walk. Averaged just under 5.10 but should have been quicker. Legs felt pretty good, was enjoying it after the first 2 reps.

Legs still a bit stiff although they felt fine when I was running. Felt very easy
